2023: Young Progressives Party inaugurates LGAs coordinators, commissions secretariat in Bayelsa.







The National Chairman, South-South Zone of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Professor Tosan Blessing, has on Thursday inaugurated Mr Yinkere Emies  and Shola Moses, as YPP coordinators for Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State.

The ceremony which took place in Sagbama local government area, also witnessed the inauguration of women leaders of various wards in Ekeremor and the commissioning of party’s secretariat in Sagbama LGA.

Inaugurating the LGAs coordinators and women leaders, Professor Tosan Blessing, who reminded them of the enormous task ahead, advised them to work as a team to galvanized support for the party from the grass root.

Professor Blessing, urged them to embark on door to door campaign in order to win more members to the party and ensure that all YPP candidates emerged victorious, come 2023 general election.

Acknowledging the developmental and leadership gap in Bayelsa West Senatorial senatorial district, the South-South zonal chairman of YPP, advised the electorates to vote for Mrs Tombra Jennifer-Mohammed ( Née Waritimi) in order to change the narrative.

He urged the inaugurated coordinators to carry out sensitize on the need for a paradigm shift in the senatorial district as well as ensure for that Mrs Tombra Jennifer-Mohammed and other candidates of the party to succeed.

Also speaking, State Chairman of YPP, Mr. Agadabiri peleagbedei , assured the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor extraction of equal and purposeful leadership if the YPP candidate wins the Bayelsa West senatorial seat.

While acknowledging that the country is in a cross path as a result of the ineptitude of the ruling party at the national and the district level, Mr peleagbedei noted that only Mrs Tombra Jennifer-Mohammed can effect the needed change in the senatorial district.

He called on other contestants of Sagbama/Ekeremor extraction to jettison their ambition and galvanize support from the grass root level to enable the candidates of YPP to emerge victorious for equity, justice and fairness.

On her part, YPP candidate for Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Mrs Tombra Jennifer-Mohammed (Nee Waritimi), who felt elated with the turn out of part members, promised to deliver in order to justify the confidence reposed in her.

While stressing that the empowerment of women, youths and the elderly would be the cardinal object of her administration, the senator hopeful advised the electorates to arm themselves with their permanent voter cards in order to effect the needed.

She equally urged those yet to register for their PVC to do so, describing it as the only means to vote out leaders whose mission is to accumulate wealth at the detriment of the masses.

Mrs Mohammed, advised the coordinators and the women leaders to see their inauguation as a call for greater service for the party, and not an avenue to pursue personal gains, charged them place the success of YPP's candidates above board.

On the issue of vote buyin, the YPP candidate, who decried the attitude of politicians who indulged in the act, at the advised the electorates to accept any gratification or inducement, and vote their conscience.

Speaking on behalf of other inaugurated members, Coordinators for Ekeremor and Sagbama LGAs, Mr Yinkere Emies and Shola Moses, appreciated the national and state leadership of the party for given them the opportunity to serve and assurd Mrs Tombra and other candidates of a block votes, come 2023 general election.

While promising to embark on sensitization campaign at the grass root level on the need for the people to arm themselves with their PVC in order to vote for YPP candidates, the duo pledged their unflinching support to the party and its candidates.
