Bayelsa: Chairperson, State Students Management Committee, Mrs Ahoada- Dei concludes week long free intensive training programme.
The one week free intensive training programme on tying of gele and make-up organized by the chairperson, Bayelsa State Students Management Committee, Mrs Ebinipre Ahoada-Dei, has ended with call on beneficiaries to make good use of the skill acquisition to better their lot.
The one week free intensive training registration process was open to all Bayelsans via social media, had over fifty participants trained on make-up and tying of gele.
Speaking on the significance of embarking on the skill acquisition, Mrs Ahoada-Dei, who thanked Governor Douye Diri for the enablement by given her the opportunity to be part of the prosperity administration, noting that the training was her own way of given back to the society.
Mrs Ahoada-Dei, described skill acquisition as a veritable tool for self-reliant and called on women, especially the girl-child to engage in a legitimate business to eke-out a living instead of activities that could truncate their future and portray their families in a bad light.
While expressing satisfaction with the conduct, passion, commitment and zeal of the trainees, the facilitator of the programme announced that the best from make-up and tying of gele department will enjoy a free one month training as a way of rewarding hard work.
The chairperson of the State Students Management Committee, also advised youths to shun negative tendencies considered inimical to development of the state and leverage on the various skill acquisitions of the prosperity administration designed to improve on their standard of living.
She also appreciated Governor Diri for recognizing loyalty by appointing her to man the State Students Management Committee, which has enabled her to establish the Ebi-Dei Beauty Fix, the platform through which the training was made easy.
Mrs Ahoada-Dei, who tasked the trainees on consistency, hinted that her desire is to see that participants become self-reliant and employers of labour while waiting for white-cola jobs.
Speaking on behalf of other trainees, Miss Gaiety Roland, Keme Tarighabo and Mrs Adiga Lilian- Kelvin, thanked the facilitator for creating the platform for them to acquire skills.
Miss Roland, Tarighabo and Mrs Kelvin, called on other spirited Bayelsans to emulate Mrs Ahoada-Dei’s kind gesture in given back to society, describing her a beckon to the girl-child.
