Ongoing internal road projects: Bayelsa Govt. lauds Contractors for quality job. •••Promises completion within next 2months

 




Bayelsa State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr  Moses Teibowei,  has expressed satisfaction with the quality of job done on the  internal roads within Yenagao, the state capital. 


Mr Teibowei alongside with his Information, Orientation and Strategy counterpart Ayiba Duba, came out with this shortly after inspecting some ongoing and completed internal  roads within Yenagao metropolis.

The works and Infrastructure commissioner, who lauded contractors for using quality materials that would stand the test of time, hinted that the ongoing projects will be completed within the next two months. 

While explaining that contrary to the believe that all internal roads are concrete, Mr Teibowei, noted that the roads are categorized into rigid and flexible pavements with the rigid pavements having the concrete coating while the flexible pavements such as Imiringi Road and Law school road have  alsphat coatings.   

He  said government has constructed more than the initial twenty roads approved by the State Executive Council and assured that government will do more in the area of road construction.

The Ministry’s helmsman, who maintained  that the construction and rehabilitation of roads was in response to the yearnings of Bayelsans, posited that government was determined to open up the state capital for more development through internal roads.

On his part, Commissioner for Information, Orientation & Strategy, Ayiba Duba stated that construction of internal roads was going on uninterrupted, assured that government will ensure that all ongoing projects are completed. 

Duba appreciated residents of areas where road construction was ongoing for their understanding and support despite the discomfort experienced.

He maintained that the prosperity government was  responsible and responsive and will always put the interest of the people ahead of every other consideration. 

The State government mouthpiece remarked that as part government efforts to spread prosperity, all twenty internal roads have been awarded to competent indigenous contractors. 

Duba, who assured Bayelsans that they in safe hands under the administration of Governor Douye Diri, urged them to support the Prosperity Administration to deliver its campaign promises and attract more developments to the State.

Some of the projects visited were  Egili Road, Yenizue-Epie, Otaria street linking Erepa to Otiotio and Doncont Road by Sani Abacha Express way which connects to other parts of Yenagoa.
