Kogi, Imo, Bayelsa Governorship Elections To Hold November 2023 ― INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Saturday, November 11, 2023, for the conduct of governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States. Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday. Okoye said the decision which was taken at the end of the Commission weekly meeting was “in fulfillment of the requirement of Section 28(1) of the Electoral Act 2022 which mandates the Commission to publish the Notice of Election not later than 360 days before the date fixed for the elections.
